Consent and Permissions

Permissions are Narrativ’s control plane. They define:
What data categories can be used (public vs. private classes, etc.)
What purposes are allowed (B2B products, rewards computation, market resolution, fraud prevention, etc.)
Eligibility state for systems like prize pools

Key principles#

Explicit: no data use without authorization
Granular: users can allow some categories and deny others
Versioned: permission states have versions so changes are trackable
Revocable: users can change sharing permissions at any time
Provable: consent receipts provide an auditable record of what was approved and when
This is what makes Narrativ both user-aligned and enterprise-safe: you can prove provenance and permitted use rather than relying on inference or broker opacity.
